Kicking off with Margot Nash and Robin Laurie's landmark feminist manifesto WE AIM TO PLEASE (1976), a piece of cinema's past that remains radicalising, this program of underground shorts explodes filmmaking conventions with a boundary-pushing survey of sex, gender, violence and liberation in contemporary Australia. A ghost haunts a gay sauna, a goddess goes to a strip club, and a jaded trans girl hooks up with a cop in shorts that range provocatively across intimate drama, expressionist doomscape and DV collage.
