CHANGE WILL BE SPARED. LIVES WON'T BE.
A freelance news crew and a hotshot reporter search for a violent vagrant and get more than they bargained for in this found footage SOV (shot-on-video) horror comedy that confronts growing class inequality with a slimy and firery mania.
As part of the Canadian video operation Elytra Collective, writer/director/cinematographer/actor Anthony Leroy has quickly become a master of gory hang-out movies that match their unashamedly low-brow humour with experimental style that pushes the image to genuinely disconcerting abstraction. Bum is the rare film that uses colour as a tool for terror, and it will leave you buzzing with terrifying stimulation!!

"When the blood flows, the image explodes" - Kai Perrignon, BUFF Head Programmer
"Found footage? More like F.R.I.E.D. F.O.O.T.A.G.E. and not "fried" in some denigrating sense, like this is lo-fi barrel-scraping horror schlock. Not at all. This is creativity frying a circuit board so hard the sparks are sending endorphins through the fuckin' screen." - Bob McCully, Letterboxd
